Description
This is Nola, a northern white rhinoceros who lived at the San Diego Safari Park. At the time this photo was taken (Spring 2015), she was one of 5 northern white rhinos left in the world. Unfortunately, Nola was sick and passed away November 22, 2015. I was lucky to have been able to see her while she was still with us. There are now only 3 northern white rhinos left in the world, and they are all at the Ol Pejeta Conservancy in Kenya. They are all too old or sick to mate, so we may see the extinction of the northern white rhinos very, very soon. The last hope we have of their species surviving will be in the lab, so hopefully they make progress there.
The San Diego Zoo Safari Park is a great place because the animals have much more room to roam than at a normal zoo, and the Safari Park does so much great research and help for the animals. They are actually doing some of the research to possible be able to continue the survival of the northern white rhinos.
The first image is representative of the crop that you will receive for the common print sizes. The actual print will be a full bleed of the image, with no white border. The full photo is also included, as my canvas and metal print dimensions will include more of the full photo.
This listing is for a matte print on high quality photo paper, printed by a local lab that offers “the highest quality photo-finishing available anywhere!” It will come in a protective, sturdy envelope, but with no mat or frame. If you would like a different size that is not listed, please send me a message! I can do many different sizes.
