San Diego Tet Festival
Working my way through some more photos! This is the San Diego Tet Festival, the Vietnamese lunar new year celebration. I went to it the same day as I went to the Chinese New Year festival, but the weather got substantially worse, and there weren’t very many people there. It was the last day, so […]
Chinese New Year
We had many Chinese New Year celebrations in San Diego, but this was from the San Diego Chinese New Year Food and Cultural Fair in the Gaslamp District. It wasn’t huge, but it had some great food, great vendors, and great performances! There were some activities geared towards kids, too, so a great family-friendly event. […]
International Dance Festival
I’m working on old photos! The International Dance Festival was put on by the International Dance Association of San Diego County, on February 15. I wasn’t there for the entire thing, but I got to see a few different styles of dance, and it was great fun! The members demonstrated their style of dance, and […]
La Jolla
I’m finally finishing my photography day trip! I mean, I finished the trip, but I posted some of the photos (here and here) a while ago and I’m finally posting the final set. I kept putting off editing these because I love them so much, I wanted to spend the time making sure they were […]
San Diego County Orchid Society Winter Show
The title on this is pretty self explanatory, ha. It’s the San Diego County Orchid Society‘s Winter Show. I’m a little behind on posting this, since it’s almost time for their spring show. I thought I was going to spend a lot of time editing the photos so I put it off, but I didn’t. […]
Bird Rock + Windansea
So my blog post got deleted…and while it wasn’t long, I can only write things once for them to be good. 🙁 Anyways…this is a continuation of my photography day trip from Tourmaline to La Jolla. Granted, it’s not that far, but when you’re a photographer and freak out about everything and take a million […]
Tourmaline
I took a trip to the La Jolla area for a photo day, starting at Tourmaline. I’m posting each area separately, so as to not overwhelm you (or me). The conditions at Tourmaline were not ideal for surfing, but great for windsurfing and kiteboardng, as you can see!
Hornblower Whale Cruise
I went on a whale-watching cruise with some friends with Hornblower. This was an AMAZING experience. We saw dolphins, gray whales, and a super playful humpback! The gray whales are a little hard to see, but the dolphins and humpback were quite obliging. Plus, to top it all off, we got a rainbow when we […]
International Houses at Balboa Park
I did a post of general Balboa Park photos earlier, but I took so many photos of the International Houses that I thought they needed their own post. They are super fun to go through! Most had small bites of food, but they also asked for donations since they are run by donation, and since […]
Balboa Park
Balboa Park is probably my absolute favorite. It’s huge, and beautiful, and amazing. There are so many museums and other random things (I haven’t explored them all yet, so I don’t know what they are yet) in there. I am working on slowly exploring the whole thing. I posted photos from a vintage car expo […]
